Fatherhood rocks Episode 1 is finally here. For the first episode I had a pleasure to talk to Ishan, and his journey thru fatherhood, as Ishan explains: “He was diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis. And He had some growth complications during the last few weeks of our pregnancy and later we learned that everything was connected. I’m a 100% hands on dad. I was initially devastated, and questioning why did it happen to my child? But then I saw inspiring stories of dads like yourself. It has been an emotional battle but I am a fighter, and a believer.” Check it out the full story in this inspiring story.

In this podcast, we talk about fatherhood, special needs fatherhood, rowing marathon and a bit of spirituality as well.

Virtual 5K

A Dad on a mission was born a few months ago but it is finally taking the shape. As you may or may not know my son condition got all of us by surprise, however that won’t stop up from enjoying life.

I have done a few things already for my sons condition such as a 24 hour Paddleboarding challenge, a crossfit competition and that is a lot more to come. I mean really cool stuff in a near future.

When the “A Dad on a mission” was born, The GO Luke Wygand Foundation was born as well. The foundation mission is simple: Raise awareness for Nemaline Myopathy and help families with physical disability thrive. With all that in mind, we launched the Virtual 5k. Virtual_5kvirtual k

The virtual 5k is very simple to participate. We suggested a $10 donation (however is not necessary), and if you want you can apply for a free dry fit shirt (we only have 80 and in different sizes). The event take place 11/17/18, and you can run anytime anywhere. We ask you to share on social media using the #virtual5kforstrength, is that simple. There is an event on facebook as well.

From runner to runner, can you share with your friends? Is super easy and it can be built into your training, and it will means a lot to me, my family and many other families with Nemaline Myopathy around the world.

By the way, if you never ran before and want to I created a training plan that you can get it for FREE. Just email me at richard@adadonamission.com
